Product and cocktail of the month: Lavender Legent Bourbon
Something about the crispiness of the air just makes you want to reach for a bourbon, no? This month, you can save 10% on Legent Bourbon all October llong. For the uninitiated, Legend is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey aged in sherry and red-wine casks. It’s the child of Fred Noe and Shinji Fukuyo that carves a whole new lane for what a bourbon can be, while still staying true to what you know and love about the category. Enjoy it with Boozy Botanicals Lavender Earl Grey Syrup and garnish with a lemon peel to make our Lavender Legent cocktail of the month, the most refreshing way to wind down a busy fall week day. Blind Beer Tasting / You Got Boozed
Who said tricks and treats are just for kids? If you’re looking for some booze-filled fun with your friends this October, we’ve got just the games for you. Everyone loves a festive fall beer, so a great way to get into the Halloween spirit is with a blind beer tasting with Oktoberfest and pumpkin beers. All you need is 4-6 beers to create your own beer flight, mix them up and have your friends guess what they’re drinking and rank their favorites. Some of our favorite Oktoberfest beers for a blind beer tasting include Mothers Oktoberfest M&M, Leine Oktoberfest and Shiner Oktoberfest, but you really can’t go wrong with any Oktoberfest beers.
Did you ever ghost anyone as a kid? Not like now when you abruptly stop responding to a potential romantic partner, but like when you would drop off a bag of Halloween treats at a friend’s house with a cute little picture of a ghost on their doorstep. In 2021, we’re bringing this tradition back. The booze version, of course. How to play: Pick up a 6-pack holder or a pumpkin pail for shooters, fill them with your favorites and leave them on a friend’s doorstep with a note that says, “You’ve been BOOzed!” Then, it’s your friend’s turn to “BOOze” someone else, and so on until the whole city of Olathe has been gifted a 6-pack by their friends. We can dream, can’t we?
