Here’s what’s happening at Brown Bag Liquor
Spring has sprung (well, it’s about to!) and so has March fun at Brown Bag. Whether you’re a Jayhawk or Wildcat gearing up for March Madness or an Irishman getting ready for your favorite holiday of the year (St. Patrick’s Day, of course ☘️) – March is always one of our favorite months of the year. Here’s what we’ve got coming up at Brown Bag this month.
Irish Drinks for St. Patrick’s Day
Whether you drink Irish beers all year long or only in March, you have to agree that they just taste better on March 17. While you can’t go wrong with a classic pint of Guinness on St. Patrick’s Day, we highly recommend trying homegrown favorites Boulevard Irish Ale and Martin City Irish HIgh Five this year. Boulevard Irish Ale is one of the brewing company’s most beloved spring seasonal beers, a legendary red ale with a rich, toasty flavor. If drinking Red Pale Ales out of cans is more your style, Martin City’s seasonal Irish High Five is like a – you guessed it – high five straight to your taste buds. It’s got a sweet citrus aroma and a hoppy, citrus-y flavor. You can’t go wrong for either, and both are great for St. Patrick’s Day parties. Trust us, your friends will thank you.
If you don’t know Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey, it’s time to get familiar. Tullamore D.E.W. is legendary for a reason. In one bottle, you get the sweetness of grain whiskey, the fruity flavor of malt whiskey and the spiciness of pot still whiskey for an overall taste that is like nothing else in the category. For a sweet end to your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, we recommend topping your day off with Bailey Irish Cream liqueur. Made with cream, cocoa and Irish whiskey, it’s iconic for a reason. Product of the Month: NEW Jameson Orange Whiskey
You’ve never had Jameson like this before. Our March Product of the Month is Jameson Orange, a brand new Jameson flavor that takes everything you know and love about Jameson and pairs it with sweet, citrus-y elements. This goes without saying, but it’s another excellent way to switch it up on St. Patrick’s Day. You can drink it neat, but we recommend pairing it with Triple sec, Orange Juice and Sprite. That’s our March Cocktail of the Month, which we’re calling Jameson Orange-Crush. Here’s what you’ll need:
Ingredients:
1.5 parts Jameson Orange
1 part Triple sec
3 parts Orange Juice
1 part Sprite
How to mix:
Build over ice, pour into a pint glass and garnish with an orange half moon
